Ensure access to education for all

Each of our local branches supports and strengthens the capacity of local education systems (as part of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensuring access to quality education for all)

According to Unesco*, more than 260 million children were out of school in 2018, 200 million of whom did not have access to secondary education. Their family and socio-economic situation deprives them of access to a quality school system. It is up to us to support the academic success of these young people, actors of tomorrow so that each of them can express their full potential. Each year, our local directions take up the challenge of ensuring access to education in their territories through the rehabilitation of educational infrastructure, the donation of school materials and also by financing tuition fees. In collaboration with local schools, we award scholarships of excellence to students for further study.

Moawharf & Seaside Community

Moawharf & Seaside Community

For several years, the Freetown Terminal teams have offered their support to local communities and especially to people living in the Moa Wharf slum in the capital city. Each year, the teams take charge of the students' tuition fees in order to provide access to education for all.
