For several decades, education has been at the heart of the Bolloré Group’s commitment to solidarity. Through its Earthtalent solidarity program, the Bolloré Group relies on its territorial roots to support local association projects, mainly in the fields of education, professional training and entrepreneurship.

In India

In Calcutta, supported by Bolloré Logistics India, heavily involved the Anandan association has been providing support to 500 children in very precarious situations since 2014. Created 20 years ago, Anandan offers children access to a quality educational program, supervised by 18 employees.

In Guinea Conakry

For the past three years, Bolloré’s local teams have been financially supporting the scholar fees of 15 young students through scholarships in the agronomy and agri-food sector of the Catholic University of West Africa. The University runs a unique agri-food studies program in Guinea. The pedagogical team accompanies the students in learning processing techniques and setting up entrepreneurial projects.

In France

At the heart of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, a flagship educational partner, since 2019, several students have been awarded a scholarship for excellence.
They also receive support from Bolloré Group employees.

All the information about our partnership with the CIUP, can be found here.

As part of the International Day of Education, the Bolloré Group looks back at two of the educational projects it supported in 2020 as part of its Earthtalent by Bolloré solidarity program.

Working closely with its local teams, the Group has provided financial support to nearly 70 educational projects[1] in 18 countries, including:

Passerelles Numériques is an association based in Cambodia (Pnom Pem), Vietnam (Daneng), Philippines (Sebu). It provides young people from disadvantaged families with the tools to build their employability through education in the digital field via vocational training.

In 2020, 400 young people were being trained in the 3 Passerelles Numériques training centers.

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris is a unique campus that welcomes talented international students. With its accompaniment and support program, which has been in existence since 2011, it allows deserving but financially precarious residents to pursue their studies in the best conditions in France.

The program allows scholarship students to be accompanied by their mentors throughout the year and thus have human support from committed employees.

In 2020, the Bolloré Group supported several students including Akrem Maaroufi, a former student in the Energy and Management Master’s program at ESCP Europe.

In 2021, the creation of the B’Excellence international academic scholarship program will make it possible to consolidate the actions already initiated and to give students with a record of excellence the opportunity to continue their studies.

This program is also in line with the Group’s desire to contribute locally to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 4: quality education.

Earthtalent by Bolloré was created in 2010 with the objective of bringing concrete help to local populations in various fields, in particular education, which is the main focus of our program. By coordinating our efforts with local teams, we will continue to fulfill our mission to accompany the youth in the long term and give them the means to succeed on their own.
